“Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies?” This is a question but such is not looking for an answer but a distraction. Knowledge can be deceptive at times but when confusion comes, the best thing for any soul is to go back to the source of its strength which in my case is God. Otherwise, you will be a tool in the hand of Satan.

One of the things Satan delights in seeing is that the visions which God had placed in your imaginations do not come into manifestation. From beginning he monitors your steps and try to figure out what indeed God has sent you to do.

Once the devil has not been able to get you to walk in his order, your life will always be on his check and the highest level of temptations and hindrances will always be on your path; in the moments of Jesus, the Scribes and Pharisees were Satan’s perfect tools.

The Scribes were right in what they were saying: Mark 2:7~ Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only? However, as logically sound as their thought was, it was a provocative channel of the devil who sought to disrupt the struggles of men.

This conversation happened when a group of four men had dropped their friend who was sick of palsy in front of Jesus having bypassed the crowd through an opening of the roof. The four friends may have brought the palsy to Jesus for one of these reasons;

1. To leverage on his compassion to get their friend healed.

2. For faith in the ability of Jesus to heal having heard of his previous healing stories.

The presence of Jesus was such a great opportunity that the crowd could not stop them to get this life long sickness healed.

We can redefine faith in this context to mean; seeing a possibility of change and working to take advantage of it. A worker of faith is a visionary. The four friends were visionaries who went against all odds to get the sick to Jesus.

There was a complete assurance that it would work, they only needed to get a little stronger than the obstacles on their way; thus, the need for work. Well the vision on your imaginations might be a business idea or creative programs. It might be a level of holiness which you admire or a more stringent prayer lifestyle. I write to tell you that the vision is clear in your own imaginations and as long as you resolve, it will be made manifest. Not even your schedule or affiliations is big enough to stop you. One thing that drives faith is believe but you need to make a step of faith and God will move ahead of you to complete it.

On the other side of faith, the Scribes were there, and had become the strongest of the obstacles faced by these four friends. They were constructively right in there thought of blasphemy and would want a situation where Jesus is condemned and taken for slaughter.

This was the strongest obstacle to the faith and believe of the four men because it is bigger than their believe. But suddenly their work had ended and they had submitted the rest to God. You may want to do a test of knowledge about every successful man; there is always a time in their journey of success when all they knew how to do failed them; nevertheless, something happened- which they could not explain- that kept them on. When all your works are done without your vision coming to pass, God will wake you in the next morning excelled.

But what did Jesus reply? Mark 2:8-11~”immediately Jesus knew in his spirit that this was what they were thinking in their hearts, and he said to them, “Why are you thinking these things? Which is easier: to say to this paralyzed man, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up, take your mat and walk’?  But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the man, “I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.”

In conclusion, nothing will ever move unless you move them. The visions in your head are possibilities that demand expression; James 2:17~faith (and believe) without work is dead.

Take a bold step of faith. God is watching and waiting not just for the end but for any point where obstacles seems bigger than your faith; he never hesitates to intervene.
