The message of Jesus got rejected by the high priest and the Jews in Jerusalem. They persecuted the Church. From killing of Stephen to imprisoning of many. So the Church scattered to other cities.

Jesus had given instructions to the apostles to remain in Jerusalem and preach the gospel; from Jerusalem to Samaria and to other parts of the world. How will they have known to scatter if there were no persecution in Jerusalem?

What did the scripture say about Philip? Acts 8:4-8~Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went. Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Messiah there. When the crowds heard Philip and saw the signs he performed, they all paid close attention to what he said. For with shrieks, impure spirits came out of many, and many who were paralyzed or lame were healed. So there was great joy in that city.

The joy that was turned into sorrow in Jerusalem became a reality in Samaria. Such are the issues of life. You may have stayed before a closed door for too long.

God knew that the door will never be opened but he had kept you there to prepare you for the joy that will come. This is where you are hardened and given to sacrifices of your flesh for the growth of divine wisdom.

You may have stayed so much in a place where you are not valued despite the joy you bring. Do not worry. At the appointed time, God will take you to where your joy will be made complete.

Sometimes it feels our productivity are reduced to nothing. An event that will change your location and your position for good is coming.

James 1:2-4~…count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

Bible Verse of the Day - day 151 - image 60137 (James 1:2-4)

They were persecuted and killed in Jerusalem yet, they did not surrender. The boldness which was developed in Jerusalem was to be used in other parts of the world. The trials and patience which you experience today are for greater impact tomorrow.

May you receive grace for perfection in your place of struggle that your joy be made manifest.
