Mark 10:15~mark this: Unless you accept God’s kingdom in the simplicity of a child, you’ll never get in.”
A lot of things characterizes a child. When I was a child, I remember that I had no shame. I could do anything playful as long as other children were doing it too. I was easily won over.
I would run after my grandmother no matter her location because I felt protected by her and I felt she would not chase me away.
I felt I was loved so much by everybody. I had no worry for anything; I couldn’t even understand that I needed to eat sometimes.
As a child, I was never under pressure. I never felt depressed or felt anyone was better than me.
Jesus says: accepting God’s kingdom in the simplicity of a child. It means:
- accepting the kingdom of God without doubt – Why is it so difficult to believe?
- accepting the kingdom of God without shame – Even during worship, you are ashamed of possible ugly look on your face when you close your eyes thereby holding back your spirit.
- accepting the kingdom of God knowing its true and capable of protecting you – You have faith.
- accepting the kingdom of God knowing that God loves us and had sent Jesus to save us from our sins.
- Without worrying for anything rather replacing our worries with prayers.
You may want to access your level of simplicity by checking your score in the above in-exhaustive parameters of entering the Kingdom of God.
We might continue to say that this is difficult; not doing them is even more difficult. In essence we may have spent our lives doing more difficult stuffs. Peace is a decision. Make that decision today.
I tell you, there have always been opportunities to enter the Kingdom of God in our daily living. Did Jesus not teach us to pray for the kingdom of God to come on earth? It is possible that it could be done on earth that which is done in heaven.
It is nothing more than worshiping in the holy spirit. A lot of people misses this opportunity due to worries and distractions of life. You may want to hear again what Jesus says, “in the simplicity of a child”.
May God grant us grace to wear this absolute nature of a child in order to enter His Kingdom.
