The major things that prevent us from having the full revelation of our inherited authorities from Jesus are craftiness and dishonesty.

God is not out to impress man. There are a lot of things which are hidden from us, which honesty and sincerity are keys to assessing them.

Humility is a divine experience that keeps you searching for more wisdom but craftiness and dishonesty are stumbling blocks to any level of spiritual wisdom.

We cannot fake our lives. There are things that we do which we try to protect at all costs. We put in a lot of logic on daily basis trying to justify an attitude that we cannot control.

Why not be sincere to God for once and enjoy the revelations of mysteries. Do you really think God is unaware of your struggle with that addiction? Instead of trying to justify that act why not constantly go down on your knees to ask God for mercy?

Which is easier; honesty or arguments? The more we learn to walk in divine humility the more, things are revealed to us, the more peaceful our hearts become.

The chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders who were a crop of crafty and dishonest men had approached Jesus looking to know by what authority he performed the things he did.

Jesus would have given them an answer but perpetual craftiness and dishonesty had not allowed them come up to a level where they can understand even the little things of God. And so Jesus threw a bait to know if they will learn.

Mark 11:29-30~Jesus replied, “I will ask you one question. Answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I am doing these things. John’s baptism—was it from heaven, or of human origin? Tell me!”

In their attempt to answer the question, they fell to the bait;

31-33~They discussed it among themselves and said, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will ask, ‘Then why didn’t you believe him?’ But if we say, ‘Of human origin’ …” (They feared the people, for everyone held that John really was a prophet.)So they answered Jesus, “We don’t know.” Jesus said, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things.”

Anytime we decide to be crafty with God, we are passing a message that we are not serious about the salvation of Jesus. Neither will he reveal to us the authorities that there be.

Be honest with God. Spell out the areas in your life which you are struggling with. Speak to him about things that are out of your control. He is mighty to save.
