The power that Jesus gave us strictly included the power to cast out demons. The truth is that this power will come into manifestation through constant practice of prayer and fasting; even when there is no reason to pray. If you ever build a kinetic prayer life, you will always have reasons to pray.
Anointing comes in different forms through prayer. Sometimes when you read your bible and find it difficult to get insight, just close your eyes and speak in tongues for a while. I am always surprised when this happens but insights always flow through.
To be recognized by any evil manipulator as carrying the power of God, there has to be an empowerment from the alter of prayers. The demons are smart and can recognize easily a carrier of power; in other words power of God cannot be faked. Before Jesus started his ministry, he was driven by the spirit into the wilderness to fast and pray for forty days.
Fasting and prayer is basically a step forward unto accessing the power to cast out demons. When Jesus disciples could not cast out a demon from a boy they inquired from Jesus and he said to them~Mathew 17:21~that kind of spirit comes out only if you use fasting and prayer.
Demonic spirits go around afflicting people and causing all forms of sicknesses and failures, that is why it is necessary that we learn to pray for any event we plan to undertake. Morning prayers are a good way to start your day.
We are at constant war with the kingdom of darkness and we need certain revelations to understand how to go about it. They are spirits that are looking for comfort and a place of abode. If your house is so comfortable for them, they will dwell in it. If your soul is free for them, they will afflict you with any kind of misbehavior.
They are attracted by porosity and lack of values. If you like using all manner of dirty words in your expressions, you are a target. And so they were a legion of spirits who found comfort in the soul of the Gadarene and forced him to live in the tombs. They tormented him day and night and caused him to injure himself and cry. He became so aggressive that he broke every chain that was used to bind him and no one could tame him.
When Jesus commanded them out of the man they shouted: Mark 5:7~ He shouted at the top of his voice, “What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? In God’s name don’t torture me!
It is ridiculous to hear demons plead – in the name of God – not to be tortured but they have tortured this man for a long period of time.
May we receive grace today to travail in the place of prayer. May we desire to activate the power to cast out demons. In the name of Jesus! Amen.
