And so God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.~Romans 5:8.
This glory of God is activated by a character of holiness. This was a character that was far gone in the history of humankind, for all have sinned and fallen short of this glory.
But why Jesus had died for our sins, we were reconciled to God by grace. For we have been found worthy to share in his glory through faith.
Having tasted the glory of God through the Holy Spirit, it thereby becomes our hope. Romans 5:2~…And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.
You may have been searching for the essence of Christianity. This is what brings the essence of our love for God. The hope of His glory.
This which we have tasted, is our driving force. This is why we travail. This is why we glory in suffering. So that at the end we are able to build the character worthy of full glory of God.
Romans 5:3-5~…we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us
Therefore, our desire to live a holy life has transcended the ordinary provisions of the law. The law is generally declared obsolete. We desire to go deeper into the glory of God wearing a character worthy of holiness.
Think about love, think about peace, think about freedom, think about tranquility; life becomes even more than these in the presence of God.
Meditation
God loves me and He wants me to share in His glory. Therefore I will glory in travail, I will persevere, I will tarry and I will be found worthy to live in His Kingdom.
