Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! We may not have had the opportunity to take a closer look at what we have. The gift which is given to us as Christians.
There is need for a periodic reminder of what we have been given because at times we seem to have fallen to some levels of pressure and confusion; leading us into forgetting what is available with us.
Peter had eventually became conscious of the power of God in him that he was so sure about the effectiveness of what he had. Acts 3:6~Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.”
There were times when he was a novice in these things; when he could not even understand it.
But he kept on falling from one ignorance to another until he got the Holy Spirit which filled him with power. And then he moved about with a complete realization of what he had.
God can never lie to us about his powers. We are simply the ones who are waiting too long in ignorance, and not realizing on time what we have.
The word of God says that by the mention of the name of Jesus, every knee must bow and every tongue must confess that Jesus is Lord.
Fortunately, you believed it, but unfortunately you lack the conviction to apply it. You need to start speaking to that sickness: that spirit of discomfort needs to hear that Jesus is the Lord of all.
I boarded a bus sometime ago – while I was younger – from Lagos to Onitsha. We got to a town that busses on transit usually stopped by for passengers to buy some food for themselves. A beggar approached me with a tag which read “I am deaf and dumb…”. The first thing that came into my mind was to pray for her. I asked her – using a sign – “can i pray for you?”, she nodded her head in affirmation and I prayed for her and afterward gave her some money.
My happiness as at the moment was not bordered on whether she got healed or not but the fact that I was able to break the barrier of what had kept me from exercising the authority of God over sicknesses.
Nothing is actually stopping you from putting what you have to work. Lay hands on people and pray for them. Pray for your family. Pray for your wife and children. Command demons by the power in the name of Jesus. Walk around and exercise what you have.
May you break your barrier of ignorance to what you have today.
