Understanding the concept of comparative advantage is as simple as asking, “how much would I have saved if I had done it myself? If it is more advantageous to do it myself than buying from another people, then I have a better comparative advantage but if otherwise, I will rather buy from other people.

I keep getting broader view in the revelation of Mathew 6:33 – But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. God has not changed this philosophy and the reason why this has to be is so that nations will know that He is still very much in control of the world. He will always find a way to nest a nation whose calamity has gone beyond a particular threshold of unrighteousness. Speaking to Israel Jeremiah warned, Jeremiah 7:5-7 But I will be merciful only if you stop your evil thoughts and deeds and start treating each other with justice; only if you stop exploiting foreigners, orphans, and widows; only if you stop your murdering; and only if you stop harming yourselves by worshiping idols. Then I will let you stay in this land that I gave to your ancestors to keep forever. The righteousness of the kingdom of God encompasses all that which the prophet had said and more. God will look at the level of values and how closely they align with the principles of his kingdom before deciding which nation should hold the authority of nations.

The questions to ask ourselves are;  1. “have we really surrendered to the pursuit of the righteousness of the Kingdom of God or are we still trying to get everything done by ourselves?”. 2. “What has been the cost of trying to do it by ourselves?”. The way of the Lord is better than the way of man. The way of man is full of wickedness and envy.

If we sincerely look inward, the demands of a man always crash against the demands of another; consequently, a man is in constant move to dominate another man. This attitude has led to unending frustrations and grievances among men; in essence trying to do it by ourselves cost us our peace and contentment. The heart of man is so selfish and desperately wicked. It takes understanding of the kingdom righteousness to be able to tame the attitudes of selfishness and wickedness. Nations that uphold unrighteousness are nations operated by rampant demonic agents and will always be subdued by nations with greater value alignment to kingdom righteousness.

A nation will never be ripe for freedom until it understands to bear fruits of the kingdom. Fruits of love, fruits of justice, fruits of care and population centered policies backed up with stringent and uncompromising laws. Mathew 21:43 “Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit”. The kingdom of God is the highest spiritual authority and great is the nation that survives on its values.

While rape is such a big crime in first world countries, it is treated with kid gloves in third world countries; while injustice is facing a huge battle in first world countries, it is taking its toll in third world countries; while people centered policies are enacted in first world countries, selfishness is the order in third world countries. Everybody needs to get into the streets and help others. Feed as many people as you can feed, save as many as you can save and preach the kingdom of God to them.

God cannot magically overturn the plights of the suffering nations without having them resort to the principles of the kingdom. Paul would have been destroyed by the wickedness and injustice of the Jewish leaders if he did not appeal to the Roman authorities. Rome as at that time was the authority God used to curb the excesses of wickedness of the Scribes and Pharisees. They(teachers of the law) lost direction by replacing Kingdom laws with human laws to the point that they thought Jesus was to come for the freedom of the Jews from the Roman empire.

Jesus however brought the Kingdom of heaven as a solution to the said freedom but his people rejected him and had to suffer and exiled for more than a thousand and half years. And what did Jesus say? the Kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to nations that bear it’s fruits”.
