Mark 6:50~For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.

A time came upon my life that I chatted my long time friend who is also a believer. He asked me; ‘how is your fair share of life?’ I was distressed at the moment and then I answered, ‘I am not getting any fair share of life recently’. I admitted that I was not honest with my answer when he took time to remind me of who I am. He said, ‘I have known you as a very optimistic person,…’. Well, every other things he said were just buffers but the first statement restored a big life in me.

This is a call to look again and realize again where you started from and the principles upon which your travails are fastened. Look back and watch how far you have come. Understand that you cannot continue to be afraid.

To some people it is a case of timing, and to others it is a case of financial insecurity and God is saying to us; ‘be not afraid’.

Fear is one door that the devil generates to keep you from believing the principles of God and his power to save. That is why David prayed for his soul saying, Though i walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil for thou art with me…~ Psalm 23:4.

And so the disciples of Jesus were afraid while Jesus walked on water in the dark of the sea. They shouted and Jesus reached out and said ‘be of good cheer. It is me therefore be not afraid.

Jesus needed to show them even more terrifying sides of him for them to be convinced of who he is for their heart was hardened. Mark 6:52~For they considered not the miracle of the loaves: for their heart was hardened.

The Lord is with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. He is always going to come through for you. You will always succeed. No plans of the enemy geared towards generating fear to your soul will be fruitful.

Be of good cheer, be not afraid.
