O God, I have waited patiently for you

I lift up my eyes to the hills, from where will my help come?
My help comes from the Lord, who made the heavens and the earth
O Jesus, I do not seek help from other places
You are the only one, you are the only rock which I stand
All other grounds are sinking sand
O God, you are near to the broken hearted
And a crushed spirit you never overlooked
Only you Lord knows how I feel
No one has been able to bear my burden as much as you have
You alone are my shield in times of weakness
You are my glory and you are my lifter
I know you have turned my mourning into dancing
I also know that you have taken away my sorrows and turned them into joy
O Jesus, this time I am consumed by depression
But your word keeps me up
I only glory in your promise
Help my soul O Jesus
Help my countenance
Let me find support once again through the abundance of your mercy
You show me the path of life
And in your presence o Lord, there is fullness of joy
In my distress I call upon you
Unto you o Lord do I cry for help
And you have always heard me
